I am Jill McCaughey, better known as the morning secretary. Sacred Heart and St. Joseph keep me busy editing bulletins, scheduling Masses, coordinating ADA and keeping up with some very busy priests! My family keeps me busy as well with school and sporting events all of which I am lucky to be able to attend due to the flexibility of the friars and staff who help cover in my absence. This is a devoted community and I am proud to grow in faith with those that I serve and work alongside.

Hi, I’m Sharon, better known as Guppy. I have been working at Sacred Heart for over 40 years now! I have had many duties and currently am the Sacristan for the both parishes. This involves caring for altar linens, chalices, etc. You will also see me in the grotto replacing candles and performing other duties as needed. I spend my afternoons at the sandwich kitchen helping those that are in need. When I’m not at work, I am a member of the Neo-Catechumenal Way which involves deep adult study of our faith as well as from time to time I foster children that are in need of a safe home environment.
My name is Claire Crone. God has taken me on quite an adventure since beginning work at Sacred Heart in February of 2009. I began as the afternoon secretary, but added kitchen manager of the Sandwich Program to my duties in March of 2010. It is truly rewarding to help feed those in need nutritious, filling food each day. The challenge of organizing close to 70 volunteers each week brings its own rewards! Coming to the Sacred Heart office in the afternoon to work is certainly a change of pace. I have been married to Dave for many years. We have two lovely daughters, Katrina and Janet, who I am always happy to brag about! As delightful as these young ladies are, they know I’m even quicker to tell you about my three dogs, Chester, Amos and Kayla. All of them were rescued from rough situations, and are completely devoted to me. My home parish is Holy Family, where I hold many happy memories. I am very grateful to be given these opportunities at Sacred Heart! Every day I know Fr. Bert is right in his proclamation, “God is Good! ALL THE TIME!”
Jill works mornings from 8:30a.m.-1:00 P.M. each day. Jill writes the bulletin weekly and manages the lecture schedules, as well as overseeing the A.D.A.
Claire works from 8:00 AM to 12:30 P.M. at St. Joseph’s Hall, managing the Sandwich Program. She can be found at Sacred Heart from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., where she assists the brides as they plan their weddings.

James Marck
Music Director
My name is James Marck, and I am very privileged to serve the music program at Sacred Heart. Although my family roots are in Ohio where I was born, I have lived in different parts of Central Illinois for about 20 years. I am the fourth of seven children. Music has always been in my family, but I made my first serious connection with music as a teenager attending Peoria Symphony Orchestra concerts at the Civic Center, right across from Sacred Heart. I also enjoy martial arts, particularly competitive sparring. I earned my second-degree black belt from Grand Master Soo Kim in Peoria in 2006. In my spare time I research the Middle-East, particularly the military and political history of Israel. The customs, culture, languages and especially foods of this region have always fascinated me. The Church is blessed to have a musician as pope and I am happy to provide my services to this Church and community.
